Claude-Yannick Driatehe Guei (Pitcho)

Claude-Yannick Driatehe Guei, also known as Pitcho, is an emerging Ivorian artist based in Accra, Ghana.

Born in Abidjan in 2001, Pitcho is a self-taught artist whose work moves through surrealism, mythology and speculative imagination. His practice explores two central areas of interest: myths connected to his cultural background and ideas around extraterrestrial life. By bringing these subjects together, he creates works that imagine new visual worlds and expanded ways of understanding identity, origin and transformation.

Pitcho’s work has been presented in several exhibitions, including Homecoming at the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra, Deconstruction at The Holy Art Gallery in London, Voyage Privé at Polo Beach Club in Accra, and Montmartre at Theia House in Accra. His work has also been included in an online auction with Chinwe Russell Gallery in the UK.

He is currently represented by La Maison in Accra, Seminal One in Melbourne, and Singulart, an online gallery based in Stuttgart, Germany.
