Producer Enterprises Promotion Service Centre (PEPS-C)
Description
The Producer Enterprises Promotion Service Centre (PEPS-C), a not-for-profit organisation established in February 1986 by the Brothers FIC, has been supporting the Centre by donating yarns and looms. In addition, it has been offering technical support during Woori: A Festival of our Weaving Tradition.
Our mission is to promote viable producer enterprises towards sustained employment of the skilled for the development of the individual and north-western Ghana. This is to ensure total sustainability of all enterprises being promoted.
To mobilise students being churned out from vocational/technical schools (Nandom Technical, St. Agnes, St. Basilide, and St. Clare’s Vocational Schools) for self-sustainable employment. To help curtail the immigration of the youth drifting from the northern part of Ghana to the southern part in search of non-existent jobs. To improve the living standard of people by creating more employment opportunities thereby enhancing the income levels of the rural poor, particularly in the north-western part of Ghana.
We offer skills training in business management, marketing, costing, book-keeping, ICT, leadership training, etc. Provision of start-up capital in a form of a revolving loan. Input credit particularly tools, equipment, building and weaving materials. Provision of office spaces, workshops, and residential accommodation.
PEPS-C operates in 5 zones (Wa, Tumu, Hamile, Nandom, Jirapa-Nadowli), all located in the Upper West Region.
