Alice Raymond

e
Alice Raymond’s works interpret the processes of observation and adaptation to a place. In an approach that is both methodical and playful, she develops a visual codification that weaves possibly forgotten links between the living and the elements of the world. Her practice favors raw materials, reinvested or found, collected where she settles. Her research focuses on the local biocenosis, using a colorful palette inspired by the environment and its evolution, opening a dialogue on the global relationships between art and society.

Exhibited internationally, Alice has shown her work in the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami, the Institute of Contemporary Art in San Jose, California, the FRAC-Méca in Bordeaux, the Museum of Science and Technology and the Nubuke Foundation in Accra, the AIRIE Residence in the Everglades and is part of public collections in USA and Europe.
